Between our dreams and our reality often stand hundreds of lost battles, thousands of failures, and much, much lost willpower. Between dreams and reality, the memory of all the bad things that have happened to us can also rear its head. A string of failures. Exhaustion from trying. The question of whether there’s any point in continuing at all.

And then, sometimes, something appears that cannot be explained by logic. An inexplicable will. A quiet, stubborn belief that what seems impossible today may become possible tomorrow.

Belief in oneself can help us try again. It is no substitute for knowledge, conditions, and an assessment of what needs to be done differently now.

Will and faith. It takes a lot of discipline to finish what others have given up on. But it takes even more discipline to finish what you yourself once gave up on.

This is not just about building success. This is about building character.
