Sometimes we put off change because our current relationship or job still seems tolerable enough. It’s not at rock bottom. It’s not even where we want it to be. But it’s comfortable enough to postpone decisions.

Good enough not to change jobs. Good enough not to change the relationship. Good enough not to face the truth.

The space between dissatisfaction and a hunger for change is the most dangerous place to stay. Here we don’t suffer enough to act, yet we waste too much time to stay the same. Progress doesn’t require perfect conditions.

It requires honesty with oneself.
