We can say for a long time that we like a certain job, and then later notice that it no longer interests us in the same way. It's hard to admit it if the people around us are used to associating us with that particular choice.

A change of mind does not invalidate previous work. We need to check what has changed: the task, conditions or our needs. Is there a part we still want to keep?

The next decision requires preparation and responsibility towards existing agreements. But it is not necessary to stay just to preserve a consistent story about ourselves. We can explain the new reason and gradually move towards a direction that suits us better.
