A familiar schedule can make a day easier, but it can also conceal a habit we are unhappy with. The same rush, way of speaking, and evening postponement of a task keep recurring until we examine them separately.
It helps to choose one thing we want to understand. When does it happen, what precedes it, and which small part can we change? We do not need to rearrange our entire lives to test a different approach.
Routine is not the enemy of change. It can be a support if we organise it around our actual needs. What matters is distinguishing useful repetition from a practice we maintain simply because we no longer pay attention to it.
