Wide availability of courses, books and professional content can facilitate learning. It can also keep us constantly collecting materials, without a clear reason why we need them right now.

It is useful to start with the problem or skill we want to develop. Then we can more easily choose a source, evaluate its quality and determine how much time we will devote to it. Every interesting topic does not have to immediately become a new obligation.

What has been learned should be connected to a small task that we can complete and check. Such an attempt shows what we have understood and where there is still a gap. The volume of saved material alone does not tell how much we have learned.
