Some moments pass almost unnoticed. Only later do I realize that I’m missing a casual conversation, a meeting, or a time I thought would easily come around again.
People change, paths diverge, and some relationships end without the explanation I’d like. I can’t neatly tie up every ending or draw a grand lesson from it.
I can hold on to what was good and acknowledge what wasn’t. A beautiful period doesn’t have to last forever to be important. Nor does disappointment have to negate everything that came before it.
Memories can warm the heart or hurt it. It’s enough to let them be, without feeling obliged to prove that everything had to happen the way it did.
