Saying that we cannot do something can mean different things. Sometimes it reflects the lack of experience, sometimes about the fear of trying, and sometimes about the real limitation of time, health or opportunities.
That's why it's not enough to tell yourself that all limits are made up. We need to check what is stopping us and if there is a reasonable way to change it. For one problem you need practice, for another you need support, and for the third a different goal.
Independence includes the right to refuse a request that does not make sense in our circumstances. Pushing the boundaries is worth it when it opens up possibilities for us, not when it just adds pressure that we have to be able to do everything.
