An accomplished goal does not remove all difficulties. A new job, a better income or a solved problem can bring relief, but everyday life still remains messy and demanding.
It is worth distinguishing between what needs to be fixed and what we expect to be perfect just to finally feel at peace. Life does not have to confirm every day that we made a good decision.
We can appreciate what we have and at the same time want change. Gratitude does not require us to be silent about lack. It helps when it allows us to notice what works, instead of constantly judging life only by what is still missing.
