I don’t want to look at other people’s business. I have enough to deal with on my own. Every imperfection in others is just a point on the path they’re currently traveling. Just like mine. It’s called life. Maybe someone is looking at me right now—my choices, my mistakes, my shortcomings—and they feel the need to say something. And that’s okay.

But let’s ask ourselves something simple. Why do we criticize? Do we really want to help… or just divert attention away from ourselves? Because often, what we don’t want to see in ourselves is hidden behind our criticism of others. That’s why I choose differently. Less looking at others. More working on myself.

Criticism makes sense when we’re discussing a specific action and want to fix something.

It’s less useful when we’re just looking for someone else’s fault to avoid facing our own issues.
