Attention is often focused on public recognition, while the people who help us every day remain without special mention. Their contribution can be silent: explanation, support or the time they made available when we needed it.
It is worth remembering such an action and expressing specific thanks. The person then knows what it meant to us, and we see more clearly a relationship that did not just arise from a big event.
Recognition does not have to be public to have value. It can be a message, conversation or attention that we return when there is a need. This shows how we value people beyond the moment when we expect something from them.
