I want a community where even people without connections, influence, or someone to recommend them can get help—a community that doesn’t turn them into an audience for someone else’s success.

Sometimes help means sharing knowledge. Sometimes it means listening, connecting someone with another person, or staying with them while they search for a solution. It’s also important that the person themselves can say what they need.

Such a community doesn’t spring to life merely because we announce our good intentions. Trust is built through actions and a willingness to keep our promises.

If one day someone says they didn’t give up because they had someone to turn to, I’ll know this idea has taken on real meaning.
