Sometimes the offer looks good on paper, but something in the conversation holds us back. We cannot immediately tell whether the problem is in the conditions, the person or our previous experience.
Such a feeling should neither be dismissed nor accepted as evidence. We can try to specify it: what answer remained unclear, what does not add up and what assumption did we not check?
An important decision requires data and an understanding of the consequences. Discomfort can be a reason to look for what is missing. If we turn it into a specific question, it will be easier to distinguish a real reason for caution from the apprehension that accompanies every new deal.
