Analysis is useful when we know what question we are trying to solve with it. If we constantly collect data without clear criteria, we can postpone the attempt even after the moment when we are sufficiently prepared for it.

We need to determine what else we need to know in order to decide. Which unknown factor changes the risk? Which one will we understand better only when we do a little test?

The first step doesn't have to be a big commitment. It can be a conversation, a trial or a check at a limited cost. It is important that the attempt gives new information and that we know what we do after it. Preparation then leads to a next step instead of becoming an endless task.
