Starting a project often brings more energy than finishing it. New tasks attract attention, while final checks, submissions and minor corrections are easily left for later. Without them, the user does not yet have what we promised.
That is why it is important to determine in advance what counts as completed work. A clear scope, a person confirming the handover and a deadline for the last obligations are needed. Such an agreement reduces the possibility that everyone thinks that only a detail belonging to someone else remains.
If the completion no longer makes sense, a conscious decision should be made to terminate the project. Indefinite postponement wastes time and leaves obligations that no one openly assumes.
