A store's layout can make comparison easier or make finding things take longer. A customer who comes for one thing may notice other needs along the way, but may also lose time navigating a layout they do not understand.
That's why the design should be evaluated with the clarity of the labels, the availability of the product and the ability to complete the purchase easily. Small extras should have a visible price, especially when offered with a larger product.
Additional income is useful for the seller, but it is not enough to measure only a fuller cart. We need to understand whether customers find the space helpful or difficult to navigate. A straightforward shopping experience can be a reason for a person to return.
