A difficult business period can show how clearly the team shares responsibilities and information. People then have specific questions about work, income and deadlines, so a general message about a new opportunity is often not enough.
The leader should say what they know, what they are still checking and when they will provide the next update. It is important to prioritize and reduce requests that no longer match the available capabilities.
Problems should not be presented as a good experience to show determination. It is more useful to take responsibility for decisions and open space for proposals. The team can then act on a clearer agreement, rather than expecting everyone to simply be more resilient.
