At the beginning of work, we can accept different tasks to get to know the job and our possibilities. Later, the same breadth can make it difficult to develop what we have decided is important to us.
We need to notice when our goal has become clear. Which area of work do we want to develop further? What else are we doing just because we are used to accepting every offer?
Then it makes sense to narrow down the choice and determine the conditions for accepting a new commitment. This does not mean stopping learning or closing off every possibility. It means leaving enough time for the chosen direction to receive sustained work, instead of constantly remaining one of the many things that we will start more seriously later.
