The schedule sometimes seems quite bearable, but the day still exhausts us. An unfinished conversation, an unclear relationship or an obligation that we put off for a long time follow us even while we are doing something else. The number of tasks does not show everything we carry.
We can easily interpret such fatigue as a lack of will. We add more pressure and try to be more efficient, while the things that weigh us down remain intact. Part of the attention keeps returning to the same unresolved place.
A break has value, as does talking about what weighs on us. Sometimes it is possible to end an obligation, sometimes to clarify a relationship or ask for support. Self-care also starts with taking your workload seriously, even when it can't be neatly displayed on a calendar.
