Responsibilities at work and to people close to us easily fill every spare hour. If we constantly leave rest for the moment when everything is done, it may happen that we don't plan it at all.
A break therefore requires agreement and a boundary. Some tasks can wait, part of the work can be taken over by another person, and availability does not have to last all day. It is important to distinguish between an urgent need and a habit of answering everything immediately.
Rest doesn't have to be a big change in schedule. A quiet meal, an evening off or a day without business messages can be a start. Our need for rest deserves attention even before exhaustion starts to dictate our decisions.
