A new experience can change what we want, what we can do or what we expect of ourselves. This does not always happen in an orderly manner, nor does every change bring more security and satisfaction.
When the circumstances are not under our control, it remains to arrange what we can influence. It can be a daily schedule, a way to ask for help, or a decision to postpone an obligation that we currently have no capacity for. It's not always easy either.
We don't have to present every difficult period as personal progress. It is enough to assess what has changed and what we need now. A more reasonable life sometimes begins precisely with the acceptance that the old requirements are no longer appropriate.
