There are days when I would give up on everything. On such a day, even meaningful work seems like a burden to be freed from. Fatigue narrows the view: what is currently difficult begins to look like something that will remain so forever.

That is why it is worth separating the decision to leave from the need for rest. One bad afternoon and a job that exhausts us for months require different answers. After a break, it becomes clearer what can be changed and why we should continue.

Persistence without reason becomes a habit, and leaving without thinking can only move the same problem. The decision gains weight when we are able to say what we leave behind, what we keep and why we choose the next direction.
