You cannot have everything, and that is all right.

However hard we work, most of us will make compromises sooner or later.

Some dreams are set aside; some expectations are adjusted.

We learn that we cannot control every outcome in life, but we also learn that we can make the best of every situation.

And that brings us to the central question:

When is it worth making a compromise, and when should you keep fighting for what you truly want?

There is no universal answer. But one question often clarifies the dilemma:

"Do I really need this… or do I just think I want it?"

Being able to distinguish a need from a desire changes the game.

What truly matters to you, what gives you meaning and what you cannot do without: that is worth giving everything for.

As for the rest… perhaps it is time to let go.

Do not waste years on work that exhausts you and takes you away from yourself. Do not forget your long-term goals and what drives you from within.

Focus on what truly carries weight. Do not let the pursuit of perfection destroy what is already good enough.

Choose your battles wisely, because the point is not to have everything, but to have what is right for you.
