A product can have a price that is not justified only by its basic function. A customer may appreciate the craftsmanship, shape, rarity or relationship with the brand, but they need to understand what they are really being offered.
It is important for the manufacturer that the promise is accompanied by verifiable quality. Materials, how it works and support after purchase should be described precisely. A general story about a vision cannot replace answers to specific questions.
Not every offer has to suit every customer. However, a high price in itself is not proof of exceptional quality. Value is built through what the product and service enable, with a fair relationship to the expectation created by the sales conversation.
