We can put a lot of work into an idea and be confused when the conversation doesn't lead to collaboration. Before drawing a conclusion about its value, we should check how we presented what we offer.
Did the other person understand the problem we are solving, the benefit and the conditions? Did we answer their question or just give a prepared story? Can we ask for specific feedback?
How we speak and present ourselves is part of the conversation, but it is not fair to attribute every missing result to a lack of self-confidence. The offer, circumstances and needs of the other party also carry weight. Preparation can help us understand them and make the next conversation clearer.
